the latest...

Not sure if anyone still reads this, but I wanted to update for my own sake because I love reading old posts! We have officially lived in Indiana for 2 years now, and it's crazy to even think about. I have really enjoyed living here, it's definitely starting to feel more like home, but I still desperately miss Utah! Andy is working hard, traveling A LOT but is expected to get "promoted" here soon which will make all the hard work worth it! I am busy taking care of my kids, working part time still, and trying to find the balance between it all. I miss my friends, but am starting to find some really good ones here. Dallin started 1st grade this year! He goes all day, which has been good for both of us. He is still very active, loves playing with friends and has started his 4th year of soccer. He is still very bright, and we have loved watching him learn to read and write. He has really enjoyed spending time with Andy doing "guy" stuff now that he is old enough. He has a hearty appetite and is above average in height for his age. He LOVES his baby sister, and is a HUGE help around here when I need him! We are so proud of him! Claire started her first year of preschool and has loved it so far. She is my little gymnast, climbs everything and has unbelievable upper body strength. We are starting her in gymnastics next month and she is really looking forward to it. Claire has always been my "easy" kid, until recently. She turned 3 and has definitly been testing me lately. She has a hard time listening and wont take No for an answer. She is a girlie girl for sure, loves barbies and princesses and Dora! She has "crazy" hair, we call it! Every morning she wakes up with a rats nest in the back, and she has the finest hair ever. I keep is pretty short because it makes it look thicker. Poor girl, I hope it thickens up as she gets older! We love our little monkey! Delaney is 10 months tomorrow!!! She is so dang cute. She started crawling at 7 months and hasnt stopped since! She can stand up from the sitting position without holding onto anything, and has even taken a few steps! She will definitely be an early walker. She is feisty as ever, has a very strong personality and a temper, but is super sweet too! She is a very happy baby, but lets you know when she is mad (which isnt too often, just when you take away a toy or a foreign object from her mouth). She recently started sleeping better, and by better I mean not up 2 times a night. She still nurses but LOVES table food. She just cut her top two teeth, making 4 on top and 2 on bottom. We have declared her officially allergic to milk, so no yogurt or cheese or milk for this one, hopefully she will grown out of it quickly though! She started clapping a few months ago, says a few sounds like dada, nana and we are working on mama. Her most favorite thing to do is dance! Anytime music is on she nods her head up and down and bounces. its the cutest thing ever!! Pretty sure she can even say the word dance. She just started waving a few weeks ago! Loving every minute with this little one. That about sums up our little family happenings!

V Day

This year, Valentine's day was pretty low key. Dallin got to bring valentines to school but without candy.. I know lame. So, I found some cute printable ones off pinterest for him. We had heart shaped pizza for dinner, and Andy brought me and Claire home a single rose. Seriously so cute! I got a new CD and I bought Andy tickets for us to go see the Indianapolis Symphony!  The kids each got little prizes too!

So big!

Delaney is growing up TOO FAST! She reminds me so much of her brother, always wanting to be facing out, held up,standing up, sitting up.. can't miss any of the action. She started sitting in her bumbo seat and loves it! She has even given me a few adorable giggles lately. She is 11 weeks old now, time has flown. We love her lots!

Super Bowl!

This year was especially exciting for us. The Patriots are our team, so of course we were pumped. Andy was able to get his hands on a ticket, which basically has been a dream for him. He just her to drive down town since the game was here in Indy (so awesome!). He also was able to attend some private corporate parties and meet some hot shots! I stayed home with the kiddos and we had fun hanging in our team garb and eating junk food. Dallin is SOO into football, and loved watching. He didn't quite make it through the entire game. Too bad the Patriots didn't pull through though :( game

Smile!

Big day yesterday at the Sylvia house. Dallin lost his first tooth! He is so darn cute. He couldn't wait to see what the tooth fairy left for him, so excited that he was up by 6 am! The next tooth is hanging on by a thread. I can't believe it took so long for him to lose, considering he got his first tooth at 3 months old!

Our new house in Indy!

I realized I never posted about our new house. I dont have any pics of the inside, but here is a look at the outside. We dont have a fence (pretty much ALL the houses here in Indiana dont) but our backyard neighbors are awesome! We are on a corner lot, so there is tons of common area before you hit the road, which makes for even more play. I thought I would worry about no fence, but actually it hasn't been an issue. Especially since we have a swingset, the kids just migrate around that!

Siblings

There two are a hoot. Sure wish they didn't fight all the time... but I am hoping this gets better with age!!

Utah visit

I took a quick trip to Utah over the weekend to show off sweet Laney Bug, and get a chance to meet my newest nephew Graham. I decided to make the trip a surprise to my sister, which was soo much fun. My mom picked me up from the airport and we went right over to her house. My.mom went in first, and about a minute later I just busted open the door holding Delaney. My sister flipped out, such a priceless moment. I couldn't wait to hold my twin nephews again, which by the way have grown so much in the 2.5 months since I saw them. I was able to spend some lots of time with them, my in-laws, my nieces/nephews, as well as squeeze in a girls night. Time always goes by too quickly when I visit, I sure wish I could stay a whole week or two next time... whenever the next time will be :( Here are lots of pics from the trip!
